Pin-up has been perming the nation for over 50 years, adapting and evolving along the way to meet ever changing fashion demands. 

Originally the property of multi-national giant Unilever, Herb UK acquired the brand in 2010. Since then we've worked hard to improve formulations and ingredients to ensure superior results with sustainable manufacturing practices at the forefront. 

Why a perm?

A permanent wave permanently changes the structure, and ultimately texture, of the hair. This is done by breaking the disulphide bonds inside the hair shaft and setting it into a new shape - curl, wave or texture - that lasts wash after wash. 

Perming is great option if you: 

  • Have stubborn hair that won't hold curl or style 
  • Have poker straight hair that needs a bit of oomph 
  • Want blow -drys to hold in the hair better in-between washes 
  • Want va-va-voom volume

Pin-Up is made from scratch in Lymington, a small town in the heart of England's ew Forest, by trusted manufacturer Herb UK.

    Pin-up is enriched with plant amino acids that nourish and protect hair throughout the perming process. And, unlike most perms, it's free from ammonium thioglycolate, ammonia, SLS, SLES; all of which are known to irritate the skin, nasal passages and weaken the hair.

  • Without the Damage

    The way we do perm is gentler that old-school conventional perms. Pin-up uses cysteamine hydrochloride, which has the unique benefit of helping bonds reform and strengthen within the hair. Putting it simply, you'll get healthier curls from roots to tips with Pin-up perm.
